Teams to Watch in the NBA
1. LA Lakers - obviously they will be the team to beat because they are the defending champion and they still have enough talent to repeat. With Kobe still at his prime and having enough support the Lakers are a tough team to beat.
2. Cleveland Cavaliers - the might have a very disappointing playoffs run but with the addition of a veteran center Shaquille O'Neal the Cavaliers now have the talent and experience to compete for the title.
3. Boston Celtics - with KG returning and Rasheed Wallace now on their bench, the Celtics will surely be one of the favorites.
4. San Antonio Spurs - if they have a healthy lineup, they might surprise many people because they still have the tools having the same system to rise to the top.
5. Denver Nuggets - last season they prove that they are one of the top teams in the NBA and this coming season they might just step up to another level having the enough talent and experience.
6-10
Orlando Magic, New Orleans Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers.

NBA Finals prediction
At the start of the east finals I thought that the Magic has a little chance of winning the series against the Cavs but like any other NBA fanatic the Magic prove us wrong, they prove that they are really a contender and that they can beat the best team in the league. They beat the Cavs in 6 games with a variety of inside and outside presence with Dwight Howard leading the way.
The Lakers also proves that they are really hungry to get back in the Finals by beating the Nuggets in 6 games. The Lakers showed their experience and great talent in all positions while the Nuggets just collapse in the final 2 games of the series.
With Kobe Bryant leading the Lakers many are expecting them to win it all, but don’t discount the Magic because just like their showdown against the Cavs they might just surprise us. So I would show my game by game predictions in the Finals:
GAME 1 – I think that the Lakers will once again show their experience and put on the gas to have a quick start and the magic will have a hard time to recover so I think that the Lakers would win this game in a style. Lakers by a big margin.
GAME 2 – I think the Magic will have some adjustments and control the game most of the way but I think that LA would make a comeback and steal the game to win it by a close margin. Lakers lead 2-0
GAME 3 – with the Magic coming back to Orlando, I think that the Magic will lead by a big margin in the first half but would have a hard time in the 2nd half. I think the magic would still win it by a margin of bet. 5-10. Lakers leads 2-1
GAME 4 – with a slight momentum on their side I think that the Magic would lead all the way to tie the series. Series tied 2-2
GAME 5 – this would be a big game and great players like Kobe Bryant would take over this game and have a huge scoring day. I also think that Howard would be in foul trouble. Lakers lead 3-2
GAME 6 – I think that the Lakers might pull of early and have a huge advantage that could close the series and win the championship.
So that would be my prediction that the Los Angeles Lakers would win it in 6 games and Kobe winning the finals MVP but I am not discounting the Magic because they might surprise us. So hopefully I am right.

NBA playoffs predictions part 2
Cleaveland def. Detroit 4-0
Boston def. Chicago 4-3
Orlando def. Philadelphia 4-2
Atlanta def. Miami 4-3
Los Angeles L. def. Utah 4-1
Denver def. New Orleans 4-1
Dallas def. San Antonio 4-1
Houston def. Portland 4-2
Conference Finals Prediction
Cleaveland vs. Orlando
- Orlando has done a great job against the cavaliers leading 3-1 at present but I think that Lebron James would carry his team back to win it in seven games. James carried his team so far in 4 games but came up short in games 1, 3 and 4 but I think that the Magic will now be the one who will come up short in the remaining games. (hopefully I’m right)
Los Angeles vs. Denver
- The Lakers lead the series 4-2 but I think that the Nuggets will come back strong and win in Game 6 but would be short on game 7 so I think the Lakers will also win in seven games.

NBA playoffs predictions
Just like any other sports fanatic, I would like to have my own NBA playoffs predictions.
The match-ups are:
Eastern Conference
1. Cleveland vs Detroit
- I think Detroit may have been one of the best defensive teams of the decade but the Cavaliers being the best team in the regular season are proving that they are also one of the best defensive teams today. So I think Defense can be equal to both teams. I think that the factor would be, how can the Pistons stop Lebron James who might be or should be the MVP of the regular season. Or can the Pistons stop the bench of the Cavaliers which is one of the best in the NBA. So I think that the Cavs can win this series easily by 4-1 or maybe a sweep.
2. Boston vs Chicago
- with KG out of the picture, this could be a tough series for the Celtics. The main factor that I see here is the advantage of the Celtics in experience, so I think that the Celtics can pull it of in tough 7 game series. I see it 4-3 for the Celtics.
3. Orlando vs Philadelphia
-with EB also out the Sixers proved that they are playoff contender which they did. The Sixers became a run and gun team which is very effective. But can they also do this against the Magic which is also having a great season? Even the Sixers are more effective without Brand, they would like to have EB in they would need a post presence at the playoffs because its hard to win in the playoffs with just running. So i think the magic can win this 4-2.
4. Atlanta vs Miami
- this might be the toughest series the eastern conference because the Hawks might have the advantage on papers, but I cannot see Wade magical season ending in the first round. So i think that, once more, Dwayne Wade can carry his team to the next level which is very interesting. I think the Heat could win it in a hard fought 7 game series.
Western Conference
1. Los Angeles vs Utah
- I think the Lakers are very determined to go back in the finals and with enough talent to do that, I think they would out work the jazz in this series and win it in a 5 game series.
2. Denver vs New Orleans
- the Nuggets are having a magical season because of Billups and I think that the Hornets will have a hard time stopping the Nugget's Offence, so I think that this much improved team can beat the struggling Hornets in a 6 game series.
3. San Antonio vs Dallas
- with Ginobili done for the season and the Mavericks playing on a high note lately, it may still be a tough series for the Mavericks but the Old Spurs might tire out in this series and Homecourt might not be that of a factor. So i See the Mavericks winning 4-3.
4. Portland vs Houston
- I think the that Defence will be the main factor in this series and the Rockets are better in that category than the Blazers. I think the Blazers cannot win at the Toyota Center but the Rockets can win at the Rose Garden so I see the Rockets winning 4-3.
Thats how I see it in the first round of the playoffs... Wait for my 2nd round Predictions next week.. Thanks for reading.
